Two down, Three to go.

My brain works in the way of 5 days.

Monday: today sucks, not much motivation. The end of the day: well at least I made it through Monday.

Tuesday: well if I get up now, I only have to wake up early three more times this week. Once I get through the school day, it will basically be Wednesday which is halfway through the week.

Wednesday: after I get up, I only have to wake up early two more times this week. Once I get through the school day, yay just two more days. That sounds easy. Two days ago was Monday.

Thursday: get up now and once more and you will be done until Monday. Once I get through the day, it's Friday. Everyone loves Friday.

Friday: ok just one last time waking up early. get through today, which won't be hard because it's Friday, and then I have two days off.

If we break this down into A and B days at school, it's even better. I don't even count my A days as school days because I have all electives that day. Therefore, I only have two or three real school days a week. And they are dreadful. And still too much. Anyways, does anyone else talk to themselves like this to help them get through Monday to Friday? Probably not. Probably just me.

In a little while I am going to get my eyebrows done. After that I have to take my car to Salem to get the window fixed because somehow something got caught in there, and hopefully get a Dairy Queen chicken strip basket since it's the last day that it's only $5. I then have to come home and make some lovely Spanish Cuban sandwiches. I don't want to do this for many reasons. It's a waste of time, and a bigger waste of money. I mean most people won't eat it, and the whole class is basically making the same thing. Don't get me started on this or even that class in general. I'm really excited for tomorrow because we are getting the baby, and Kenz is coming over for dinner. I can't wait to eat some crab legs! Yaaay :)

Mad Mondays!

A couple of things that have irritated me lately:

  • Starbucks switched back to their plain, white cups :(
  • I can't wear any of the winter clothes I got for Christmas because it's 65 degrees in January. I could write a whole post on this stupid weather, but I'll spare you the misery.
  • My parents not leaving me alone about cleaning my room. Especially my dad. I know it had to be done, but my lord they made me mad. FYI, I did get it done. I only have a few more little things to do :)
  • Going to Driver's Ed and getting mad everyday I have to get my license late.
  • Our school is supposedly having a Sadie Hawkins dance. I'm not mad that they are having a dance, I'm mad I'll be sitting at home doing nothing while everyone has fun.
  • I feel like this only happens to me, but every once in a while I go through these stages where my body does not let me sleep at night no matter how tired I am. I hate it. Especially on school nights. Before a Monday. Before a whole, long week of school.
  • I hate that feeling of Sunday night, and when you get to study hall and realize you have a massive amount of homework that you do not want to do.
  • When you are so hungry in the afternoons for something really good, but you can't figure out what you want. This has happened to me quite a bit lately.
  • Waiting a week, or longer, for another episode/ season of a show to come on. Sometimes I feel like I just can't wait, and that more shows should come on everyday like a soap opera.
  • When teachers think that you should give them the highest amount of respect no matter what. I'm all for respecting your elders, but some teachers honestly believe they hold some great power over you. FYI, you are not my parent. If you are straight up rude/ disrespectful/ or whatever, don't expect some high treatment from me :) Just sayin. I wonder if anyone else feels this strongly?
Well I think that's a pretty darn good list. I have obviously had some frustrating days this week :)

Concert Countdown: 32 days :)

Woah.

I could have sworn it was just Friday afternoon! Well since it's Sunday, I guess it's time to tell you about my weekend.

Friday morning I had to go to the dentist. I've never liked going to the dentist. The smell and the toothpaste makes me sick. But I did get chicken minnies for breakfast and got to go to school late :) After school we got to go pick my dog up from the vet. So far, she is recovering pretty well. Then I went to the basketball game, Bdubs, and Katie's Ice Cream with my bfffff :) After all of this I came home and slept for 12 hours.

Saturday I pretty much laid around all day until about 3:30. I got ready and went to my cousin's birthday dinner at Outback. Last time I was there they had a crab leg and steak special and it was so delicious. This time though, they had lobster tail and steak. I had never tried lobster before but I went for it. It was pretty good. After dinner I took a trip to Starbucks, and went to Lauren's birthday bonfire. When I got home, I went straight to bed and slept for 13 hours. I'm up and I'm still tired. This is what school does to me.

And today, well I cleaned the majority of my room! I know, can you believe it?! I have just a litttle more to go :) Clair picked me up and we went to visit Hannah at Maggie Moos. We jammed to Britney, went to TJ Maxx, Kohl's, PFE park (haha), and tried to go visit someone but no one was home :( It was a pretty fun adventure though :)

My Favorites!

I've done Mad Mondays, Things that make me happy, Things I miss, so why not do some of my Favorite Things. I'm on a roll here! ;)

TV: I'm sure all of you could figure these out! Friends, Friday Night Lights, Boy Meets World (bet ya didn't know that ;) and 7th Heaven are some of my all time favorites. These days I'm a big fan of Parenthood, anything Kardashians, TLC shows, crime shows, and The Challenges.

Movies: Grease, 10 Things I Hate About You (Heath Ledger, duh!), The Notebook, Jersey Girl, Sweet Home Alabama, Bring It On (1st & 3rd are the best), Forrest Gump, Of course The Hangover, and sooo much more

Music: Of course I love all the old stuff from the 90s and early 2000s. I'm obsessed with country. Some of my favorite artists are(in no order :) John Mayer, Train, Matchbox 20, Maroon 5, Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, Coldplay, Kenny Chesney, Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, I could pretty much go on and on. I have a hard time picking my favorite song but I think I've narrowed it down to Drops of Jupiter by Train, Dear John by Taylor Swift, Push by Matchbox 20, and Name by the Goo Goo Dolls. I don't know.

Food: Mac & Cheese, Steak, Chicken, Crablegs, pastas, all that good stuff. Cookies and Cream ice cream is my favorite. I like strawberries and oranges.

Sports: I reallllly love watching football. On TV and in person. I also really miss going to my brother's wrestling tournaments every weekend :( My favorite teams are Alabama and Dallas.

Places: The beach. Especially with Kenz :) The Mall. Out with muh friends (: Starbucks!

Clothes: American Eagle. Victoria's Secret. Forever 21. Urban Outfitters (wish I could afford it!) And pretty much anything I like that I find from anywhere :)

Things to Do: Blog. clearly. Have lazy days. Facebook/Twitter stalk. Go to the pool (wow I miss that). Spend time with my mom and the baby when she's here. And again, going out to lunch and stuff with my frands!

That's about all I can think of. I'm sure I missed plenty of things. But it gives you an idea :)

Plans for today: maybe drive a little, Outback for dinner, and then a bonfire :) Happy Weekend, enjoy it, it always flies by!

TV Recap

Glee!
I finally got around to watching last week's Glee. It was so cute seeing Will proposing to Emma. And Finn to Rachel for that matter! It was so weird because after watching Grease I went to watch this, and the opening scene was a rendition of Summer Lovin. (As you can see in the picture above) Too cute!

Jersey Shore 1/19
I thought the past week's episode was pretty good. It was good to see Pauly celebrate his birthday, even though no one paid attention to Mike, whose birthday was also that day. The one girl at the club from Bosnia cracked me up. Towards the end of the episode everyone calls Vinny. They show a preview of next week's episode of everyone going to Vinny's house to surprise him.

DC Cupcakes

There hasn't been a new season of this since last spring, but occasionally they do specials. This past week was the group trying to break the record of the world's largest cupcake, which was a little over 1,000 pounds. It definitely looked difficult, but they made a huge cupcake weighing over more than 2,000 pounds!

Kourtney And Kim Take New York

This was a very interesting episode. I thought it was cute how much Scott wanted a special picture of him and Kourtney. I used to hate him, but I've actually come to like him a lot! When Kourtney and Kim went to the medium, I was a little freaked out. It was so weird that he knew all of the stuff that he did. I can't wait to see what finally plays out with Kim and Kris next week in the season finale.

Ellen
Monday Shemar Moore from Criminal Minds(another show I watch during the week) was on Ellen. Let me tell you, he is fine for a black man. It was really funny when he played the game with the lady from the audience.

Teen Mom 2
Teen Mom is always so interesting. A lot of things went down on Tuesday's episode. Chelsea finally started a job, and Adam broke up with her. While I really feel bad for her, I really hope she chooses to stay away from him this time. And from what I've seen on twitter, she has. But who knows. Jenelle and Kieffer really irritate me. What could one possibly see in the other? I still am not quite sure why she and her roommate got into that fight, but I'm willing to bet it involves Kieffer. I did feel kind of bad for Leah during this episode. Her house is not really a healthy place for her kids, so she is trying to do the right thing by moving. But, Corey wants to by a new truck, even though he bought a new one 4 months prior, instead of moving. I haven't seen much of anything this season that led to the downfall of their relationship, so I'm guessing this is the start. And finally, Kailyn's ex Joe sent an appeal for child support. I don't really think he has any valid arguments, so I hope she gets the money that she deserves.

The Challenge: Battle of the Exes

I am so happy The Challenge is back on again. I've actually come to like it so much more than the Real World. It kinda sucked that Nate and Priscilla were the first to be eliminated. I felt bad for them during the honey challenge. But I guess that's what comes with being a rookie. I'm really sad that Kenny isn't on this season :( He's like my absolute favorite. Some couples that I look forward to seeing how their relationship plays out are Diem and CT, Heather and Dustin, and Paula and Dunbar (only because I know they hate each other).

* Just another thing on my mind right now: my puppy dog is very very sick and if the vet can't get around to doing her surgery tonight or first thing in the morning, she will probably not make it. So we are really hoping that they do get around to it as soon as possible, and everything turns out okay :(

Things I Miss

I always swore when I was little no matter how much people told me that I would regret saying I wanted to grow up, that I really wouldn't. Little did I know. Growing up has been a bittersweet thing, but I think mostly bitter. Growing up definitely has its privileges like having more freedom and driving and so forth. But honestly, I really miss being little. Almost everything about it. I know that sounds weird, but I do. Well since I know I can't go back, I thought I'd just share some of my favorite things from the late 90's/early 2000's.

~Music: The original Britney Spears. Even though I still love her, I miss the old Britney. Anyone that knows me knows how much I love Britney Spears. I know the words to literally 99% of her songs, and would die to go to a concert. I'm pretty much obsessed. I also really really loved the Backstreet Boys and Aaron Carter, but who didn't? There is so much music I miss from this time.

~TV: I have alottt of these. I was so so obsessed with Powerpuff Girls, Rugrats, and Pokemon. Yes, Pokemon. I have 3 brothers so I was used to it. I was a big fan of Full House. I also really miss Boy Meets World and Friends, even though I still watch reruns of these :)

I miss boom boxes and CD's. I remember when I got the first Kids Bop. I miss VHS tapes. I got my finger caught in the VCR once. I miss when people wore candy necklaces and snap bracelets. I miss the highly annoying furbies. I miss Friday skating parties. I miss hit clips, happy meals, and Nintendo.

I miss pretty much everything about being little. You lived in a world where nothing could go wrong. My brothers were literally my best friends. The only thing I did all day was play. Pre-school and Kindergarten were fun. There was really nothing to worry about. I think the reason I still love this music and  tv shows is because it kind of gives me that feeling of being little again. Even though I would give the world to go back to these times, I know I can't. But hanging on to these weird, certain things, gives me a good feeling and memories of the good times. I know life has a lot ahead for me. I also know that in 16 more years, I will be feeling the exact same way wishing I was 16 again. But for now, I still really want to go back 11 or 12 years. Who knows when my opinion will change. I'm interested to see. As you can tell, sometimes I get in this really sentimental mood that I can't explain :) It's weird. But also comforting. Sooo, what are some of the things you miss from your childhood 10 or so years ago? (I feel so old that I even remember 10 years ago!)

Happy Hump Day! And p.s. if you don't like my blog, or blogging in general, then don't read it. I don't really see why it's that hard to understand. Just sayin. You know who you are :)

Things That Make Me Happy

In honor of Mad Mondays, because I'm bored, and because I thought this would be fun, I'm going to make a list of the things that make me happy :)

  • Leaving school early
  • A good night's sleep
  • When we have ze baby
  • A clean room (ha haven't seen that one in a while)
  • When people are nice to me. It's a simple thing, but it goes a long way with me.
  • Oreo McFlurries even though they hurt my tummy
  • Reality Tv. Or almost any good TV for that matter.
  • Relaxing days
  • Old Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears music. This will almost always brighten up my day. I can't wait until I can drive and blast this in my car. I know. It's weird.
  • Going out to Breakfast. IHOP and Famous A's are to die for to me. I love breakfast food. Even a Bojangles biscuit or Chick-Fil-A chicken minnies will do. I'm going to stop talking about food now, this medicine that I'm taking makes me sooo hungry
  • Sweatpants, leggings, and sweatshirts. Getting all dressed up for school is not my thing. I'm just too tired in the mornings. So this is what I wear.
Ok, that's all I can think of for now. But I think it's a pretty good list. Come back tomorrow for another post (hopefully) and TV Recap Thursday! :)

*P.S. I literally just found out thanks to Twitter, that Leah from Teen Mom has miscarried. I was really looking forward to seeing how another pregnancy and third child worked out for her. Shucks!

Being A Celebrity...

No, I am of course not a celebrity. I actually got this simple title from a song by the lovely Brad Paisley that's been stuck in my head. Since this song was stuck in my head, it gave me an idea to just talk about recent interesting celebrity news.

Sarah Burke
Sarah Burke was a Canadian skiier who died this past week from being in a coma caused by a skiing accident.

Joe Paterno
Penn State football coach Joe Paterno died late satuday night from a battle with lung cancer.

Heidi Klum and Seal

These two are getting a seperation/divorce. This was pretty surprising to me. The couple has been married for 7 years.

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler

These two are expecting their first baby! If I remember correctly, they have been on again off again for a while.

Drew Brees and wife Brittany

The Saints quarterback and his wife are expecting their third baby! The couple already has two boys ages 3 and 15 months.

Aretha Franklin

Aretha Franklin Calls Off Her Wedding | Aretha Franklin
Aretha Franklin called off her marriage to William Wilkerson. The two were to be married sometime this summer.

Well I think that just about does it for interesting celebrity news so far. I'm sure there will be more to come soon!

Mad Mondays

In case you were wondering, I got this fabulous idea from Counting Down The Days! You should go over and check it out and get started. I think it's a great idea to vent your frustrations at least once a week for all of the Internet world to see :) So let's get started!

  • It makes me mad when you go to a fast food restaurant and they don't give you a straw for your drink.
  • *It makes me mad when you wait forever in the waiting room at the doctor's office. You finally get called back, checked by the nurse, and wait a good amount of time for the doctor to actually come in.
  • The attendance people at school really get on my nerves.
  • With that said, I really can't stand school in general.
  • I hate teachers that give you tests just about everyday
  • A lot of people on facebook irritate me.
  • It makes me angry when I wake up constantly during the middle of the night, and am exhausted in the morning.
  • It makes me mad when my phone falls between the furniture and I have to crawl and bend all over the place to get it. This happened to me a good few times this past week.
Well there ya go. I'm sure I'll have stuff to go back and add, but until then, you should try Mad Mondays. Happy Monday Is Over Day!

*Yes, this was an experience today. I found out the cold I've had for 7 weeks isn't just a cold. I have some severe swelling/infection in my nose, and according to the doctor, I'm lucky I haven't gotten a sinus infection yet. Anyways, I am now on a spray, and two medications, one of which makes you extremely anxious and irritable. Yay :)

Sunday Already?!

I can't believe it's already Sunday! Weekends go by waaay too fast :( Friday I got to go watch my favorite fish Sandy Chang at her swim meet! After, a few of us went to CiCi's, then Tayllar, Cara, and I went to Mehgan's. Always having fun on chatroulette :)

Saturday I went to IHOP for breakfast with Tayllar, ran a few errands with her, then came home and took an accidental 3 hour nap. This is why I don't wake up early, haha. I spent the rest of my day watching all kinds of crime shows. I don't know why I do this to myself. It's so interesting to watch, but then makes me so paranoid later. For dinner I got my Dairy Queen chicken basket (never gets old) and ice cream :) I was so tired for some reason that I went to bed at 11, and slept for 12 hours.

Today, well, I haven't done much. I caught up on tv with my mom, went to my grandma's for a little while, and here I am. I was supposed to clean my room, but of course that didn't get done. I don't know why I'm so bad about procrastinating :/ Right now I'm watching Grease, which in my opinion, neverrr gets old :) I am pretty upset the Patriots won, so I'm just hoping at least the Giants will lose. Although everything in the NFL seems to be going the exact opposite of what I want. Oh well. Happy Sunday :(

Happy Birthday Mehgan!

I just thought this looked cool :)

I don't even really know if these are good, but it's definitely a start (: Happy Friday!

My Week In TV

Well since today is Thursday, I guess I will start from last Thursday, with none other than Jersey Shore!

This past week's episode was pretty sad considering Vinny left :( I mean he is my favorite. But I know he comes back so I'm not too upset :) I always love the drama and partying of Jersey Shore, I think it's good for me sometimes. Can't wait for tonight's episode!

Miss America

I loooove watching Miss America, Miss USA, and all that jazz. I think that Miss Wisconsin was a good choice, but I was a big fan of Miss Alabama and Miss Tennessee.

Kourtney and Kim Take New York

Be honest, who doesn't love the Kardashians. I mean, I just don't know. This was an interesting episode. I have to say, Kim was being a bit ridiculous towards Khloe. But luckily they made up again. I also would like to say how much I love Mason. So cute! I'm excited for the season finale part 1 Sunday!

Caged

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this show! It reminds me so much of friday night lights, one of my very favorites. It's something about those shows set in small towns that just pulls me in. I really can't wait to get farther into the season and see how everything plays out.

Parenthood

Definitely another one of my all time favorite shows. It's so good. I recommend watching it, even though it is kind of confusing at first. Still, so worth it <3

Teen Mom 2

Who doesn't love their weekly dose of Teen Mom? :) For some reason, I find these shows verrry interesting. Thoughts on the past episode: Jennelle is nuts. Kieffer is trash, but I love Barbarah. Kailyn is one of my favorites. She is so independent which shows a lot. I think it's good that she filed for child support. Chelsea needs to get away from Adam asap. I do feel bad for though. And Leah, well I don't really know what to say. I give her props for everything going on with her kid, but lately she just seems to be acting a little fake, I don't know, maybe it's just me.

American Idol

I've watched American Idol ever since it came on. I took a break for 2 or 3 seasons because I just didn't care, but I got so hooked again last year with Scotty, duh :) I love the auditions, probably my favorite part. And Steven Tyler is so interesting to watch.

Ellen

I DVR and watch Ellen everyday. My mom and I love her. I think the best part this week so far was Steven Tyler, and Chris Young performing. Love him!

* I haven't watched Glee or Celebrity Wife Swap yet this week. I've heard Glee is super good so I'm dying to watch it. As you can see, I watch a lot of tv, but what else is going to entertain me? Homework? No. So that's pretty much my life during the week. TV, Facebook, Twitter, and Blogging :)

4 Day Weekend Fun

These past 4 days have been a very nice break from school. I wish it would last though :( Let me recap for ya.

Friday: babysat the baby, ran some errands, and got the chicken strip basket I was craving from Dairy Queen.

Saturday: went and visited Kendall :) went to dinner, mall, and to get ice cream with my mom. this felt just like break since it was just the two of us here. came home and watched Miss America.

Sunday: got up and went to Famous A's for breakfast, ran a few errands, came home and napped, and got ready and went to a birthday party

Monday: drove. alot. I am soon going to my weekly trip to Macado's and hopefully can find a little time to get started on cleaning my room.

Luckily I don't have any homework tonight, which is a plus. I have to add to this post, that I was not a happy camper with football this weekend. Green Bay and the Saints lost (bummer) and the Patriots and Giants won (bummer because I highly dislike them). I guess Alabama winning their 14th national title in an amazing game makes up for it though :) I'm really not looking forward to going back to school. It is the start of the second semester though, and I can't believe I made it through the first. It's going to be a lonnnng couple of months.

2012 Goals

I know I'm kinda late on this but I guess it's better late than never. I didn't make any resolutions, mainly because I never stick to them. I do have some goals though I would like to accomplish this year.

  • I want to find a good way to work out, that works for me, and involves absolutely no running whatsoever.
  • With that being said, I hope to actually feel comfortable this summer at the pool or wherever for the first time in I don't know how long.
  • I want to learn basic photography skills. This is something that I've always wanted to do, but never got around to. Hence Photo Friday :)
  • I want to keep a decent looking room.
  • I really want/ need to stop stressing so much about school. Even though it will probably mean lower grades, it's not healthy.
  • I want to stop being so nervous when I drive.
  • I want to find a job that I really like.
  • I hope to finally find out what I want to do after high school.
Okay, I'm going to stop myself there before this gets out of hand. I know all of these goals won't be accomplished, or maybe to the extent I would like, but it definitely helps to get it down and out there :)

Photo Friday

Just a few goodies from my weheartit.

* I intend to make some of these my own photography in the future. Happy Friday!
